Confirmation
Wednesday evenings middle school students gather with pastor to explore Lutheran teachings on the 10 Commandments, the Apostleâs Creed, the Lordâs Prayer, the Sacraments, and the Bible. Middle schoolers are especially eager to understand their place in community and so the focus of this growth experience is on building relationships in the context of faith and faithful living.

Saturday âSundayâ School
The third Saturday of every month, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, pastor and other adults in the congregation gather, with children pre-school through 6th grade, to experience learning in community. Together we learn about Holy Communion, Baptism, All Saints Day, music, sharing, and the seasons of the church. We always have fun and share a snack together.
-
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Gather with others to study the lectionary texts for the upcoming Sunday. This is a chance to dig deeper into the gospel lesson, learn a little biblical history, get to know others better, and pray for the concerns of the parish and world.

St. Paulâs Choir
Under the direction of Dr. Kurt Westerberg, St. Paulâs Choir provides a place to grow in understanding and leading the liturgy. Special cantatas, anthems, and concerts provided by our talented choir challenge the members to grow in faith and musicianship.

Advocacy Sundays
Every six weeks, following worship we gather and write letters to advocate for justice in our world. Using the Lutheran Advocacy Network and Bread for the World resources we provide the issues, the stationary and stamps, and the addresses so that what we hear in worship is translated into justice in the world. See our calendar for the next Advocacy date.

Women of the ELCA
The women of St. Paulâs gather monthly to serve the church and the larger community through the Women of the ELCA. They provide funding for outreach projects in the larger church, support the warming center, send boxes to those serving over seas and remember those who are sick or in need.
As members of the multi-faith organization Interfaith Action of Evanston, St. Paul's works with other faith communities and agencies to provide food, shelter, and hope to all the citizens of Evanston through the following ministries:
- Sunday Soup Kitchen
St. Paulâs will again host the Sunday Soup Kitchen beginning in January 2008. Each Sunday different faith community teams arrive at St. Paulâs to prepare and serve a hot meal to those who are hungry.
- Warming Center
During the winter months, November through March, members of St. Paulâs host the Monday afternoon warming center, providing a safe, quiet place out of the cold for those on the street. There is always something hot to drink, snacks, and a friendly volunteer or two welcome guests in out of the cold.
